The inaugural Würtual Reality XR Conference took place in Würzburg from April 11 to 13. The event featured keynote speeches from Domna Banakou (NYU Abu Dhabi) and Anna Felnhofer (Medical University of Vienna), as well as a range of symposiums across two days with talks by notable speakers from the HCI group including Franziska Westermeier, David Mal, and Professor Marc Erich Latoschik. On Monday afternoon, the HCI Group hosted the conference at their chair and presented over 25 demos from students and PhD researchers. The conference also included a lively panel discussion on the metaverse, with Professor Latoschick and other participants, held in the rooftop bar Hoch3 located in the heart of Würzburg.
